What is the Care Ministry?

The Care Ministry provides care to our parishioners through our ministries at Our Mother of Sorrows  during illness, times of loss, crisis, or need.   The team supports and complements resources already available through our current ministries.

What is Our Goal?

Our goal is  a more holistic approach by connecting ministries and volunteer resources with the needs of the people in our Church to the extent of our capabilities.

Who is on the Care Team?

Volunteers. The number one quality of our volunteers is that they are caring people who will bring the Gospel to life! This team communicates and directs those needing help to the appropriate ministries.

Care Team – Team members responding to the incoming calls/forms then  connect the care needed to the appropriate ministries.

Ministry Team – Volunteers who provide the service or items needed.

I AM REQUESTING CARE

If you or someone you know could use care in the form of our various ministries listed below, please fill out the quick form and a Care Minister will contact you.

Our Care Minister will call to check on a person, listen to their situation, and connect them with ministries that are able to address the needs of the person.

There are parish cooks waiting to help with meals in the event of illness, new baby, or other reasons. We are able to set up a short term customizable plan.

God hears all Prayer. Let our Prayer team Pray for your intentions.

We have a team of people who are willing to help out with small repairs around the house to help those who physically are unable or cannot afford to make necessary repairs.

We have a team of people who are willing to help out with an errand when the person is  physically unable.

Begin the road to healing by receiving in-person prayer from our experienced prayer ministers.

Who Can Request Care?

Anyone! If you need care or you know a parishioner who needs care, please call the parish office 535-7646, or fill out the form above.

How Can the Care Ministry Help?

We can set you up with some meals, drop off a prayer shawl, put you on our prayer list, help with a small fix-it job if person is unable to, deliver Holy Communion, drop off a care package, run an errand, etc…

Can I Help With the Care Ministry?
