Parish Pastoral Council
The intent of Vatican II was to generate wide spread involvement of people in parish
life, i.e., worship, social and other ad hoc committees as needed. This involvement
does not extend to worship only, but involves members of the parish in all parish
affairs in so far as possible. Committees of the Council include liturgy, education,
stewardship (time & talent), finance, social, fundraising and communications.
Membership is appointed or chosen by lottery on Pentecost Sunday. Normal term of service is three years.
Parish Finance Council
An appointed Council responsible for oversight of all fiscal elements of the entire
parish. Both parish Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Council are advisory to
the pastor.
OMOS School Council
An appointed or elected advisory council responsible for advising the pastor and
principal on aspects of school administration.
